All of the dietitians listed on this site are registered with The Health Professions Council (HPC), which is the statutory body set up to regulate all professions associated with healthcare.
The title "dietitian" (and "dietician") is now a legally protected title and can only be used by suitably qualified professionals. You can be sure each member is registered by the HPC number on his or her profile page. You can confirm this on the HPC web site www.hpc-uk.org
Most Dietitians will also be members of the British Dietetic Association, the professional body which aims to inform, protect, represent and support registered dietitians. Information about the British Dietetic Association can be found at www.bda.uk.com
All Dietitians are bound by registration with the Health Professionals Council to follow agreed standards of proficiency.

The majority of dietitians working freelance have a minimum of 5 years experience.
